In 1965 Mr. Yedidia Solell met with Mr. AKAI (yes,. the brand you know for electronics) in Japan.
Since 1966 till 1996 the Solell family has been the official representatives of AKAI Electronics of Japan, whereas in 1996, AKAI was sold to Mitsubishi Electronics Co. of Japan and the AKAI brand no longer belonged to the AKAI family.

Since the 1980s, numerous other companies assigned the Solell family to become their official representatives in Israel. Companies such as: Audio-Technica, Nakamichi, Clarion, Eureka, and Filter Queen.

In the years of 2005 till 2012 Solell Import and Networks (1997) LTD started importing vintage cars to Israel and became the largest importer of vintage cars and motorcycles to Israel with over 90 vehicles in total.
